Azam TV commissioned Giordano Design to design and build a state of the art TV set design & studio build in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania East Africa.
Each studio set would be viewed on air at different times. Making the programmes and news appeal to a wide audience for television and film.

TV Studio build
Working in a disused car park. We had to completely rip out the interior. Building a new infrastructure was key to the success of this studio space.
Our project included. Acoustic soundproofing. Together with rigging and a platform over the whole area. So we could install our wonderful LED lighting in the floor. 3 new studio desks, platforms and video walls.
TV Studio Programmes
TV News Channel
The News set to be the centre of production activity for all news and information broadcast. It is designed for the efficient flow of information from journalist/source to producer to production team to the viewing public. So we designed and built a news desk for the TV presenters.
Sports TV
To use the latest technology so the studio presenter could use interactive touch screen monitors and large format video walls, to link to football presenters at stadiums across the whole of East Africa.
Morning Show
An informal chat show with a TV presenter and invited celebrity guests to discuss their latest films and other local topics.
Music Channel
A discussion show interviewing local and famous musicians around the world, whilst showcasing their current music from the studio’s video walls.
TV Set Design
Following the design brief. We opt to use the Azam brand logo within the style of the sets, using stunning organic shapes. This added an individual approach that would be unique for Azam TV. We designed RGBW LED lighting into the curved walls, floor and ceiling which are DMX controlled from the studio gallery. The colours of the studio change moods into day or night time, using clever use of overhead studio lighting.
All the walls are curved with recessed video screens and curved metalwork. There is a central circular suspended ceiling feature & curved fascia sections. Brick wall graphics were used for the morning show, and an Azam TV logo lightbox recessed into the floor. All presenter desks are bespoke manufactured with moveable castors. Making it easy to move around the studio.
