MBC tv studio set design
Project Brief
We were commissioned by MBC to do the production design for a NEW live talk show & stage. The design concept had to reflect scenes of London. So, we used iconic scenes with landmarks of London. This involved us using large format graphics printing, a video wall and excellent rigging and studio lighting.

TALK SHOW SET design
The talk show set had to be inviting with seating and close to the presenter. We chose to use comfortable seating with a sofa and armchairs. This was great for other guests to appear on the show, so they could interact with the presenter.
As there is a fun element to the show. We used quirky props on the shelving & the backwalls of the set. RGB LED lighting was also used in the bespoke presenter’s desk. Which was built out of timber & laminates. From the entrance to the set. We had to build a walkthrough for the presenter. Which worked really well with the video walls and graphic lightboxes. A feature of the set was a stained-glass window backlit graphics. Which we designed and did the artwork & printed. Which really added depth to the set.

On the musical stage set. There was plenty of space for the instruments, band and a live singer. Using vintage props created an ambience of an underground urban club feeling. We installed a large video wall and brick wall with graphics. Which we produced the artwork for and printed.
Above on the rigging, the studio lighting adds warmth to the scene. Making both sets look dramatic and cool. We pre-built the sets in the workshop. Then installed the sets onsite within 3 days.
